Art therapy is the process of engaging creatively in art-making using different art modalities such as painting, drawing, collage, poetry, and movement to encourage “whole-body thinking”. It’s a powerful technique that reveals unconscious thoughts, significant internal experiences and patterns, and feelings, allowing you to “say” what you may not otherwise feel comfortable speaking out loud. It provides an opportunity to expand perspective and develop awareness to create change from the inside out.

This is an invitation to create art in any form to connect with your self-expression and healing. This technique helps achieve therapeutic goals by allowing you to give voice to what was previously unknown.

You don’t need to be an artist to participate; this is not about your artist talent. Art therapy focuses on the inner process and the metaphors and feelings that arise during the experience of art-making rather than the end result.

This is the process that opens the door to exploring your unique parts and true self by bypassing your rationale mind and get to the nitty-gritty of your subconsciousness. It is often an insightful, emotional, joyous, and spiritual journey. As you connect with your renewed sources of creativity and intuition, you can experience peace, enthusiasm and find the purpose of your life.
